Warley Woods
"Warley Woods is a 100 acre community park which is a mix of woodland, open meadow and a golf course. It has registered, grade 2 status with English Heritage because of its historic plan, designed by Humphry Repton. The park is designated as a Site of Important Nature Conservation and a Site of Local Importance to Nature Conservation. Warley Woods began its life as private parkland for the Galton family in the 18th Century. It was saved from being developed for housing by public subscription and was opened as public park in 1906, and became known as “The People’s Park”"
Memories
Over the past ten years I have been lucky enough to photograph countless Families in Warley Woods. As I grew up not 5 minutes away from this beautiful green space, in Bearwood (Smethwick) Warley Woods is a place full of memories for me.
The Trust
"Warley Woods Community Trust was set up in 1997 to restore and manage Warley Woods Park as an asset for the local community. It formally took on the management of the 100 acre site in 2004".
The Trust is a registered charity so from every photo session taken at Warley Woods I have donated £10 to the trust - Warley Woods is the best backdrop for photos!
I have got to know so many families who live locally to me in Bearwood - Birmingham UK.
Growing up in a lovely small town like Bearwood I have photographed some of the same families time and time again - from season to season, year after year!
Family Photo sessions
I take you on a short 1 hour photo-shoot - some posed shots & mostly candids - depending on the time of day & time of year - I have my favourite spots! I am a light chaser! I take a mix of candid & posed images. After our shoot I partly edit the best images and create a gallery which can be viewed via my website to allow you to choose your 10 images - the price of the shoot includes ten digital images on USB. (you can of course choose more images and they are priced at £15 per additional image)
Once you choose your favourites, I complete my edit & deliver your USB of images in a wooden trinket box tied with ribbon. Your images will be uploaded to your online private gallery which you may choose to share with your friends and family - there is also an option to buy prints, canvases & books.

It's never too early to make a booking - I am available on selected dates from Spring onwards - let's get a date in the diary! If it rains on your date I always offer to reschedule, should you wish too, however if you want to stick on a pair of wellies & stomp in puddles - all the better!
