Capturing memories
This past summer I was booked by one of my regular family photoshoot clients, Georgie, to attend and capture her 39+1 Birthday celebration in Church Stretton
We all kept our fingers crossed for clement weather however this being Church Stretton the threat of a summer storm hung in the air. No fear ~ Georgie had prepared for a inevitable soaking - covering as much of her father's garden with giant gazebos! I got the idea they were well prepaired when I spotted the large free standing fridge in the garden too! These folks know how to have a garden party!
The gazebo was a god send ~ the rain started lightly & before we knew it off the Welsh hillside came a deluge of rain.... the canopy held & the kids helped catch the various drips where the rain made it through ~ not an ipad or phone in sight - just a lovely family, sitting outdoors in the rain on a typical British summers day!
A good hour into the unrelenting rain, we escaped indoors to take advantage of the big window seat to get some family group shots. As the kids played Georgie's sister played the piano and Georgie's dad played one of his guitars.... and we all got to eat cake!
All in all, a really fun afternoon, not inspite of the rain but because of it... it didn't dampen the day one bit!
