I thought it was time to introduce myself... I'm Sam and I am a tatoo and piercing obsessed, wedding photographer.
I prefer to take pictures these days, not to be in them! I am in my element when at work photographing a beautiful wedding but put me infront of a camera and I go full 'geek' and ALL OF MY TEETH want to be in the shot - think a Staffordshire bull terrier.. or is it actually a Smethwick bull terrier!

30 something...
I'm that old, I started with film photography.... I first learned to swish the chemicals in the trays in my Grandad's dark room - developing our family snaps. Every family holiday, it would be me - taking the photographs! I was the kid in the 90's who took a disposable camera to the last days of school and managed to capture all those memories of days gone by... yes the days BEFORE CAMERA PHONES! (All the small things by BLINK182 plays in my mind on a loop when thinking of school!)
You can guess my age by now surely!

Qualified Diamond Grader (DGA)
My first job I worked in Birmingham's Jerwellery Quarter - I took the DGA and became a qualified Diamond Grader working in a couple of Diamond merchants, jewellery shops and jewellery manufacturers. So if you want a good deal on your wedding rings, just give me a call!
Family...
I also opened & managed our family business gift shop - along side my wonderful family at Webb's of Bearwood. I loved the freedom of being (nearly) my own boss! As my photography took off, I left the business to concentrate on all things photography!

Land's End to John o'Groats
In 2011 I cycled the length of the country - cycling 940 miles in total, with 3 friends. We raised money in memory of one of my cycle friends daughter's who had lost her life at such a young age to cancer. We split the sponsorship money between the Birmingham Childrens Hospital and the Make a Wish Foundation.
Blisters...
I still have no idea how I managed it - and it seems like someone elses life... It's one of the hardest things I have ever done but very rewarding - once the blisters healed! However since then I have violently avoided any sort of physical exersize!
I'm a cat Mom...
I am totally a crazy cat lady... Cat Mom to 5 fur babies. A sphynx named Mrs Lady a Cornish Rex named Raggy, a 20 year old Ginger named Scrat, a gianormous Tabby called Toby and an aloof black and white called Mog.
I'm married...
I really do understand that your wedding day is the biggest day of your life... I found out on October 1st 2022 when I married my Darren at The Bolenna - a beautiful Cornish family owned hotel in Perranporth, Cornwall

Wedding Day 2
A week after our first wedding we had our 'proper wedding'! We'd arranged a small wedding at our friends Boutique hotel, The Bolenna in Perranporth, Cornwall. Our nearest and dearest travelled down to celebrate with us.

My favourite place in the world is New Zealand- (also gotta love Cornwall!). I was lucky enough to go to New Zealand twice. Once to North Island and then to the South Island. Big road trips both times... I cant get enough of the place!

In my 'down time' when I'm not editing I like to restore 1980's My Little Pony's! I buy old unloved ones, give them new hair, clean them up and give them a new lease of life... They are an antique collectable of the future! (that's what I tell Darren anyway!)
My love of photography... I can't imagine doing anything else!
I have grown my business from nothing, it's taken me 10 years, I've had real high's with my buisness and some lows but I honestly can't imagine me doing anything else.
My priority on your wedding day is to capture those moments in time for you, and then edit and present them to you - my clients understand that I care about their day. They see the difference. Every wedding is unique. The images I present are edited by me. I am not an 'instant camera' I am happy to say I take my time to edit my work. I am slowing the process, I am in my 'Dark room' editing every image myself- memories to last a lifetime are worth patience and love.
