Dream booking!
When Liz & Jason first approached me to photograph their wedding in San Gimignano, Italy, we were sitting in a coffee shop in Bearwood nr Birmingham. The weather outside was 1000 miles away from the brochure images Liz & Jason were showing me of their chosen wedding venue ~ The Guardastelle - Agriturismo and Vinyard. We joked that I prefer colder climate to work in.... but for them, I would make an exception!
Day 1...... Pizza Party!
After a day or two lying by the pool at the fabulous hotel Tenuta Sovestro - I was reasy to photograph the first event of Liz & Jason's wedding celebration. Luckily it was just a short walk to Liz & Jason's wedding venue, Tenuta Guardastele. Arriving as the sun sat low in the sky - the evening was spent eating copious amounts of pizza! The children attending the evening had one thing in mind - the Gelato cart!

The Big day!
Arriving at the venue in 42 degree heat with my two cameras, multiple lenses, I was glad my husband had been invited to the wedding (a lovely gesture) ~ so he carried my kit up the hill!
I first had a little look around, met the lovely Danielle of Wiskow & White wedding planning. Danielle & Lucy of Wiskow & White plan authentic multi-day weddings across Italy and wow! Did they do an amazing job for Liz & Jason!

Let the food & Drinks flow....
In the beautiful Italian sunshine Liz & Jason had time to talk to their friends and family whilst dinning on charcuterie boards, Italian beers and wines from the venue's own vinyard!

Newly-wed photo's
Whilst guests dined. . . . .. I took Liz and Jason off to take their newly-wed images

Crystal Chandeliers ~ Outdoor Wedding Breakfast
Late afternoon heading into the evening, in the glorious Italian afternoon sun we all had the treat of seeing the wedding breakfast decor by Danielle of Wisko & White. Stunning crystal chandeliers played with the afternoon sun, rainbow cascaded over the table which was decorated with white candles and olive leaves. It was stunning.

First Dance ~ it's party time!
Once the speeches were over, we moved to the patio area where lights illuminated an outdoor bar, dancefloor and live band - after cutting their cake, Liz & Jason took to the floor for their first dance. Followed quickly by their daughter and their guests. They partied the night away!

Day 3 ~ Pool Party!
The third and final day was spent not nursing hangovers but by eating more food and relaxing by the pool... Not much relaxing was had as even the adults found the inflatable pineapples and whales great entertainment!

Now thats what I call a wedding!

Thank you to Liz & Jason & all of their fab wedding guests for making me feel so welcome ~ its the biggest wedding event I have ever covered & it hardly felt like work!
